High-level UN Officials to visit Nepal

L&G, Kathmandu, April 19

A high-level eight-member delegation of the joint Executive Board of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) from donor and programme countries is scheduled to visit Nepal from 18-25 April to observe the ongoing peace process, according to the local UN Information Center. 

 

The delegation, which includes participants from member states Angola, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, Sweden and United Republic of Tanzania, will interact with key government and non-government stakeholders, local communities and UN partners, states a press release issued by the UN Office. The team will also make field visits to to some districts outside Kathmandu to observe the initiatives of UNFPA and other UN bodies.
